Planning
Samples & lead times
What to expect from sample to delivery, and how to plan around your opening date.
How long does it take to receive contract furniture in the UK?
Plan for about three months from order: roughly 7–15 working days for a pre-production sample, 30–45 days of production after approval and around 30–40 days of sea freight to a UK port, plus delivery to site. Rush items can travel by air at extra cost.
Samples
We make pre-production samples in your chosen finish and fabric, and we can send finish chips and fabric swatches to your designer. Sample costs and delivery are quoted per model, and you approve the sample in writing before production starts.
Planning backwards from your opening date
| Weeks before opening | Milestone |
|---|---|
| 16–14 | Brief, floor plan and quotation |
| 14–12 | Sample made and approved |
| 12–6 | Production and inspection |
| 6–1 | Sea freight, customs and delivery |

Timings are typical and depend on quantity, finish and shipping schedules. Your quotation confirms the plan for your order.
